Mandatory Mark: WaterMark (must be stamped on the pipe itself).

AS/NZS 1260: PVC pipes for drain, waste, and vent.
AS/NZS 4130: Polyethylene (PE) pipes for pressure applications.
AS/NZS 3500: Plumbing and drainage code (the product must comply with this for installation).
Plumbing – Sanitary Ware (Toilets, Taps)
Mandatory Mark: WaterMark AND WELS (Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards – the star rating sticker).
The Standard:
AS 1172.1 / .2: Water closets (pans and cisterns).
AS 3718: Tap ware (supply).
AS 3499: Flexible hose assemblies (flexible connectors)
Mandatory: Must meet the NCC (National Construction Code) requirements.

The Ban: As of July 1, 2024, the use, supply, and manufacture of Engineered Stone (reconstituted stone) is BANNED in Australia due to Silicosis risks.
We Do NOT import: Any engineered stone containing crystalline silica.
Safe Alternatives:
Porcelain / Sintered Stone: (e.g., Dekton, Neolith style).
Natural Stone (Granite/Marble): Allowed, but requires strict safety handling.
Zero-Silica Engineered Stone: Some new products exist, but builders are hesitant.

AS 2924: High pressure decorative laminates (if laminate).
AS 4586: Slip resistance (if used on floors).

Formaldehyde Emissions: Australia requires low formaldehyde emission ratings (E1 or E0).
